Introduction

Did you ever wonder what it is like on a farm? How do you think it would feel to live on a farm? You will pretend that you are the farmer and pick out the animal you will need for your farm.

The Task

Imagine that you are a farmer. You are trying to find the right animals for your farm. What you will do is research the animal that will be best on your farm. To find out about that animal you will look at the sites given to you and find out about it. You will use the information that you find on your animal search to use for your slide show on KidPix to show your fellow farmers why you have chosen that animal for your farm.

The Process

  • pick an animal on a farm
  • look at the sites given to find out about your animal
  • write what you have learned about your animal
  • draw a picture of your animal including a background scene
  • use KidPicks to draw your animal and write about it
  • your KidPix slide will be used in a slide show for the whole class to see

  •

When you write down what you learned about your animal write down the facts and what you would want to put on your page of the KidPix slide show.
